Welcome to the fifth edition of our newsletter. With the site progressing well and sales now well underway we would like to take this opportunity to update you on what’s been going on over the last few weeks.
Summary of Progress to Date
- CAPTAIN’S VIEW
Work on this site has progressed well, with 30 homes now completed. All the houses on the Braunton Crescent side have been completed and are now occupied by residents.
The focus is now on the apartment blocks and the works are progressing well.
5 flats in Block B have been sold, with only 4 left available.
As a result of sales success to date, the show home is currently closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
- CAPTAIN’S WALK
6 homes have been completed and are now occupied. Plots 51 to 100 are at various stages of completion. Apartment block C is at roof level.
Progressive reinstatement of the pedestrian footpath and carriage way of Clevedon Road is underway.
- The site team donated 2 sets of children’s football kits for a school in Kenya. As you can see in the photo below, these have now been delivered, and were well received by the school.
- Further to this donation, at Christmas the team sent over a collection of children’s books to enhance the school’s library – again, this donation will make a big difference to the children that attend the school.
- After another Considerate Contractor Audit, the team received an outstanding score of 41.

You Said We Did
Due to the recent wet weather conditions, we are using the road sweeper/cleaner to minimise the mud entering the main roads. We apologise for any inconvenience or issues this may have caused and would like to assure you that we are constantly looking at ways to improve and reduce the impact that the site works have on local residents.
The Braunton and Clevedon site team have recently won the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) nomination for the Best New Housing Development. The site management also received individual awards. The whole team are delighted and look forward to the regional finals.
